Key responsibilities:
- Execution of preventative (planned) and corrective preservation tasks, on the testing, coaching and lookup gear and systems, based totally on facility deliberate upkeep requirements, and unplanned breakdowns. Depending on the assignment complexity and capabilities required, this is carried out both independently as directed via the Maintenance Technician, or as section of a crew with the Maintenance Technician;

Qualifications, abilities and experience:
- Minimum N4/N5 in Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering field
- Artisan change certificates in Mechanical fitter, Fitter and Turner or Millwright;
- Two years’ journey in preservation of mechanical and electrical system;
- From the above ride the candidate must have at least one year experience in working and primary preservation of:

- Hydraulic machines;
- Electro-mechanical systems;
- Lifting gear operator certification;
- Driver’s licence;
- Working at heights certification;
- Basic machining skills;
- Basic welding skills;
- Computer literacy skills;
- Basic understanding of the operation and preservation of mechanical machines, hydraulic machines, electrical machines;
- Knowledge and grasp of Pneumatic machines;
- Understanding and interpretation of technical drawings and diagrams;
- All worldwide skills require an comparison record / certificates issued via the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
